Rules of The Rock Movement

Simple guidelines to keep the movement fun, safe, and respectful for everyone!

1

Place Rocks in Accessible Public Spaces

Rocks must be placed where anyone can find them safely. Think parks, benches, trails, public squares, or community centers. The goal is to spread joy, not create obstacles!

2

Respect the Art

Don't damage, deface, or alter the rocks. Each one is a unique piece of art created with love. If a rock is damaged, you can still move it and document its journey!

3

Keep It Safe and Legal

Never place rocks in dangerous locations, private property without permission, or anywhere that could cause harm. Safety first, always!

4

Indoor Placement is Allowed

Rocks can be placed indoors if the space is fully public - like libraries, cafes, museums, or public bathrooms. Just make sure it's somewhere anyone can access!

5

Document the Journey

When you find a rock, take a photo and upload it along with a clue for the next finder. This creates the living story that makes each rock special!

6

Keep It Family-Friendly

All photos, stories, and clues should be appropriate for all ages. This is a project for everyone, from kids to grandparents!

7

Spread Kindness

The Rock Movement is about creating connections and spreading joy. Be kind, creative, and have fun! Every interaction adds to the magic.
